Bakh Yaye est peut-être la plus ancienne formation Toulousaine de musique africaine. Aujourd'hui, leur désir est de se réinventer, c'est pour quoi Bakh Yaye revient avec le projet de création L'engouement, qui met en avant de façon inédite le sabar et les percussions Baye Fall, typiques du Sénégal. Le spectacle incluera également balafon, danses, et chants d’Afrique de l’Ouest. Le groupe renforce sa cohésion et revient avec une vitalité nouvelle transmise par l’impressionnant bouillonnement créatif d’un pays jeune et inventif.

Toulouse Dakar

Toulouse-Dakar, est un point d’étape dans l’histoire d’un groupe qui a commencé il y a 20 ans dans le quartier populaire de Guediawaye à Dakar. Installé à Toulouse depuis 2003, Bakh Yaye effectue un aller-retour constant entre le bouillonnement créatif de Dakar, et les rencontres multiculturelles toulousaines. Bakh Yaye sur scène, c’est aussi une esthétique des corps et des costumes baignés dans l’atmosphère mystique du Baye Fallisme.

Ce projet est soutenu par la ville de Toulouse et par l’Institut Français.

Bakh Yaye is perhaps the oldest Toulouse band of African music. Today, their desire is to reinvent themselves, that’s why Bakh Yaye comes back with the creation project L'engouement, which highlights in a new way sabar and percussion Baye Fall, typical of Senegal. The show will also include balafon, dances, and songs from West Africa. The group strengthens its cohesion and returns with a new vitality transmitted by the impressive creative effervescence of a young and inventive country.‍

Toulouse Dakar

Toulouse-Dakar, is a stopover point in the history of a group that began 20 years ago in the popular district of Guediawaye in Dakar. Settled in Toulouse since 2003, Bakh Yaye makes a constant round trip between the creative effervescence of Dakar and multicultural encounters in Toulouse. Bakh Yaye on stage, it’s also an aesthetic of bodies and costumes bathed in the mystical atmosphere of Baye Fallisme. This project is supported by the city of Toulouse and the Institut Français.
